    原文報道：According to Article 6 of the Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, Portugal received an application from
SAPEC AGRO to modify the existing MRLs for imidacloprid in rice. In order to accommodate the
intended use of imidacloprid in Portugal, the existing MRL of 0.05 mg/kg (set at the limit of
quantification) should be raised to 2 mg/kg. The EMS Portugal drafted an evaluation report according
to Article 8 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 which was submitted to the European Commission and
forwarded to EFSA on 29 May 2009. On 27 August 2009 some data requirements were identified,
which prevented EFSA to conclude on the consumer risk assessment. An updated evaluation report,
addressing those data requirements, was submitted by the EMS on February 2010 and was taken into
consideration by EFSA for finalization of this reasoned opinion.
